The 6.5 Grendel and 6mm ARC share the same 7.62×39-based case head, which means one Type II bolt covers both chamberings. That's a big deal if you run more than one upper or plan to swap barrels down the road. JP didn't stop at material choice either. They radiused all the traditional 90-degree corners in the locking lug area to spread impact force evenly, added extra material around the cam pin hole to shore up a known weak point, and finished the whole thing in DLC for surface hardness, lubricity, and easy cleanup.
