Description

Most suppressed rimfire setups involve a threaded barrel, a separate can, and a baffle stack that turns into a leaded up mess after a few bricks of ammo. The Angstadt Arms Vanquish 22 skips all of that. This is a complete semi-auto .22 LR rifle built around Angstadt's patented baffle-free integrally suppressed barrel, done in collaboration with the rimfire wizards at Volquartsen. The 18.5 inch match grade barrel is fully rifled from chamber to muzzle, with precision porting that bleeds gas into a large expansion chamber. The practical payoff is that standard velocity ammo leaves the muzzle subsonic, so you get genuinely quiet shots without hunting down specialty subsonic loads.

Why the Vanquish 22 Cleans Up So Easily

Because there are no baffles, there is nothing to disassemble, soak, or scrape. Lead and carbon have nowhere to pile up, so maintenance is basically the same as any standard rimfire barrel: run a bore snake through it and get back to shooting. No baffle strikes to worry about either, since the bullet rides a rifled bore the entire way. It is one of the smartest approaches to suppressed .22 shooting out there.

Built Like a Match Rifle, Not Just a Quiet One

The rest of the package holds up its end. You get a CNC machined aluminum receiver with an integrated Picatinny rail for optics, a crisp Volquartsen TG2000 trigger group breaking around 2.25 pounds, a DLC coated competition bolt, and a Magpul X-22 Hunter synthetic stock in black. The Bentz match chamber tightens things up for semi-auto accuracy, and it feeds 10/22 pattern magazines with 10+1 on tap.

Where the Vanquish 22 Earns Its Keep

This rifle shines for quiet backyard plinking, pest control, small game, and introducing new folks to the sport without the noise. Stick with standard velocity or subsonic loads for the quietest results, and note that CCI Stingers are a no go due to their longer case; CCI Velocitor is the better pick if you want a hotter round.

Frequently Asked Questions

Do I need subsonic ammo to shoot the Vanquish 22 quietly?

No, and that is the whole point of the design. The precision ported barrel bleeds off gas as the bullet travels down the bore, dropping standard velocity .22 LR to subsonic speeds before it exits. That means cheap bulk standard velocity ammo runs quiet, though subsonic loads like CCI Subsonic will get you the quietest results of all.

How do you clean an integrally suppressed rifle like the Vanquish 22?

This is where the Vanquish really separates itself from traditional cans. There are zero internal baffles, so there is nothing to take apart, soak, or scrape lead out of. Just run a bore snake or cleaning rod through the barrel like you would on any standard rimfire rifle. Suppressed .22 runs dirty, so regular cleaning is still a good habit, it is just quick here.

Is there any ammo the Angstadt Arms Vanquish 22 won't run?

CCI Stinger is the one to avoid. The Stinger case is longer than a standard .22 LR case, and it will not work with the tight Bentz match chamber. If you want a high velocity option, CCI Velocitor uses a normal case length and runs fine. For everyday shooting, standard velocity and subsonic rounds are the sweet spot.

What magazines does the Vanquish 22 Superlite use?

It feeds from 10/22 pattern rotary magazines and ships set up for 10+1 capacity. That is great news for anyone who already owns a Ruger 10/22, since spare mags are cheap, proven, and available just about everywhere.
