The barrel comes threaded 1/2×28, which is the standard thread pitch for 5.56, so swapping muzzle devices or mounting a suppressor mount is straightforward. Keep in mind that short-barreled 5.56 guns run a lot of gas, so a quality suppressor rated for short barrels is the way to go.
