Built by KOFS in Turkey and imported by American Tactical, this 20 gauge pairs 26 inch blued 4140 chrome-moly barrels with a laser engraved 7075 aluminum receiver, keeping the whole package right around 6 pounds. That's the kind of weight you can carry through a full day of chasing quail or pheasant without your arms filing a complaint.
The 3 inch chambers handle everything from light target loads to stouter field ammo, and the five included choke tubes (Cylinder, Improved Cylinder, Modified, Improved Modified, and Full) let you tighten or open your patterns for whatever you're shooting, whether that's close-flushing grouse or longer crossing clays. The barrels are chrome plated inside and out for easier cleaning and better resistance to wear, and a vent rib with a brass bead front sight keeps your eye tracking naturally to the target. A single selective trigger lets you pick which barrel fires first, so you can stage your chokes for the shot you expect.
This is the ejector model, which is worth pointing out. When you break the action, fired hulls kick clear on their own instead of needing to be plucked out by hand, which makes reloads quicker on a busy dove field or a fast-moving skeet round. The oil-finished Turkish walnut stock and forend come checkered for a solid grip, and the engraving on the silver receiver gives it a look well above its class. With a 14.23 inch length of pull and traditional field stock geometry, it mounts naturally for most adults. For a first double gun, a light upland carry gun, or a casual clays setup, the Cavalry SX covers a lot of ground with one purchase.
This model, the SXE version with part number ATIGKOF20SVE, comes with automatic ejectors. When you break open the action after firing, spent hulls are kicked clear of the chambers automatically, which speeds up reloads considerably. ATI also makes an extractor-only version of the Cavalry, so check the part number if that matters to you.
It ships with five interchangeable choke tubes: Cylinder, Improved Cylinder, Modified, Improved Modified, and Full. The gun uses a Mobil-style choke pattern, so finding replacement or specialty tubes down the road is straightforward. That range covers everything from close skeet work to tighter patterns for late-season birds.
Yes, both barrels are chambered for 3 inch 20 gauge shells and will also run standard 2.75 inch loads without issue. That gives you plenty of flexibility, from light target loads on the clays course to heavier magnum field loads when you need more payload downrange.
It's a strong fit for upland work. The aluminum receiver keeps the whole gun right around 6 pounds, so it carries easily over long days in the field, and the 26 inch barrels swing quick on flushing birds. Pair the included chokes to your cover and it handles quail, dove, grouse, and pheasant duty well.
