Double stack 9mm 1911s have taken over range bags for a good reason: you get that crisp single action trigger and classic grip angle without giving up capacity. The Alpha Foxtrot AF1911 Romulus leans into that formula hard. The frame and slide are machined from SUS416 stainless steel and wear a polished black DLC finish, which holds up to holster wear and sweat far better than traditional bluing. Down below you get an injected polymer grip module with a flared magwell, and up top a serrated slide cut directly for RMSc footprint optics, so micro dots like a Holosun 407K or 507K bolt straight on without an adapter plate.
The 4.25 inch bull barrel is ramped, threaded, and topped with a compensator that vents gas upward to fight muzzle rise. Combined with the weight of a steel frame, this thing stays remarkably flat through fast strings. The 1:10 twist rifling handles common 9mm loads well, and the commander length slide keeps the balance point where you want it. Glowing night sights and a Picatinny rail round out a setup that works just as well for low light as it does under range lamps.
Alpha Foxtrot didn't skimp on the small stuff. You get an ambidextrous thumb safety, an extended slide release, and an extended beavertail that lets you choke up high on the gun. The trigger breaks light and clean the way a 1911 should. Two double stack magazines come in the box, one 17 rounder and one 20 rounder, so you can pick between a flush fit and maximum capacity.

This version of the Romulus has a direct RMSc footprint cut, so micro optics like the Holosun 407K and 507K, Shield RMSc, and Sig Romeo Zero mount right to the slide with no plate needed. Keep in mind the direct RMSc cut does not accept full size RMR footprint optics. If you want to run an RMR, Alpha Foxtrot makes a separate MOS adapter version for that.

It ships with two double stack 1911/2011 pattern magazines, one 17 round and one 20 round. These are quality steel-body double stack mags, and spares in both capacities are available if you want to load up for a match or a long range day.
