The ALG AK Trigger Ultimate with Lightning Bow (AKT-UL) fixes all of that. It is a single-stage fire control group built for AK-47 and AK-74 variant platforms, and it gives you a light pull, a clean break, and a short, audible reset that makes follow-up shots feel natural. ALG lists the recommended pull weight around 3.5 pounds, and most people find it lands in that light, precision-friendly range that transforms how the rifle shoots.
The Ultimate is the top step in ALG's AK trigger lineup. Compared to the standard AKT and even the Enhanced version, the AKT-UL has a shorter pull and a crisper reset, which is why folks lean on it for target work and precision shooting. It is machined from gun-quality alloy steel, so durability is not a concern even with high round counts. The trigger comes finished in black, and the whole assembly is made in North Wales, PA.
The curved Lightning Bow is more than a looks thing. It gives your finger a comfortable, natural resting spot and improves control over the stock trigger, which matters a lot during longer range sessions. Pair that better ergonomics with the crisp break and you get a trigger that feels a whole lot closer to a good AR setup than a traditional AK.
These are designed to work with most AK variants without fitting, but there are a couple of things to check. On rifles with a rear trigger guard rivet acting as an anti-slap feature, that rivet should be no taller than 0.062 inches, or it will need to be shaved down for clearance. This trigger is not compatible with 12 gauge or .308 / 7.62x54r variants. Some builds like Saigas, VEPRs, and certain pistols may call for minor fitting, so a gunsmith is a smart call if you are not comfortable working on your own fire control group.
Both use the Lightning Bow and are single-stage designs, but the Ultimate has a lighter pull and a crisper break than the Enhanced. The AKT-UL is aimed at precision and target shooting, while the Enhanced leans more toward general-purpose and defensive use. If you want the sharpest, lightest feel ALG offers for an AK, the Ultimate is the one.

The assembly includes the trigger, hammer, disconnector, disconnector spring, auxiliary trigger spring, and safety stop roll pins. The main hammer spring is not included, so it reuses your rifle's existing main spring. ALG does sell a High Energy main spring separately if you want to swap that out as well.
ALG's recommended setting lands right around 3.5 pounds, though real-world pulls can run lighter depending on your setup. The included auxiliary trigger spring lets you bump the pull weight up if you find it too light for your liking. That flexibility makes it easy to dial in a feel that works for you.
