The 1911 has been around for over a century, and Alpha Foxtrot clearly wasn't interested in just making another one. The AF1911 Romulus is a double-stack, hammer-fired 9mm that keeps the classic single-action feel and ergonomics intact while adding the kind of modern hardware that makes it relevant for competition, home defense, or just running the range on a Saturday.
The heart of this pistol is its 4.25" compensated, bull-ramped, threaded barrel made from 416R stainless steel. It's button-rifled with a 1:10 right-hand twist and six grooves, which translates to consistent shot-to-shot accuracy. The compensator built into the barrel design does real work keeping muzzle rise in check, and the threading means you can run a suppressor or swap in your own muzzle device without needing an aftermarket barrel. The entire frame and slide are machined from SUS416 stainless and finished in a polished black Diamond-Like Carbon (DLC) coat that holds up to hard use and looks sharp doing it.
Alpha Foxtrot packed in the ergonomic features you'd expect from a competition-inspired build: an injected polymer grip module with an extended beavertail, an undercut trigger guard, a flared magwell for fast reloads, and an extended slide release. Controls are ambidextrous with the thumb safety, so left-handed shooters aren't left out. The slide is serrated front and rear for a positive grip and comes with the MOS adapter cut that supports both RMSc and RMR footprints. The RMSC plate comes pre-installed with an RMR plate included, and a Night Fision glowing front sight handles low-light target acquisition when you haven't had time to mount a dot yet. There's also a full-length Picatinny rail under the frame for lights or lasers.
