The AF1911 S15 answers a question a lot of 1911 fans have been asking for years: can you get genuine 1911 ergonomics and a single-action trigger in a compact carry package that holds more than 8 rounds without blowing out to the width of a full-size pistol? Alpha Foxtrot says yes, and the S15 backs it up. At 1.36 inches wide, it is as slim or slimmer than most traditional single-stack 1911s while fitting 15 rounds of 9mm flush in the grip.
This specific variant adds the threaded 3.5-inch bull barrel and RMSc optic cut, making it the most feature-complete version in the lineup. The 3.5-inch barrel is machined from 416R stainless steel with a 1/2×28 thread pitch, finished in a high-polish Diamond-Like Carbon coating that is notably harder and more corrosion-resistant than standard bluing or even most Cerakote applications. That same polished black DLC finish carries over to the slide, which is also 416R stainless. The result is a cycle that feels smooth right out of the box, and a surface that wipes down quickly after a range session. The forged 7075-T6 aluminum frame uses a Gen 2 Bob Tail profile with a Type III hard-anodized finish and steel rail inserts for durability at the wear points.
The slide is milled for the RMSc footprint, which is compatible with popular micro red dots including the Holosun 407K/507K and Shield RMSc. Factory-installed Night Fision tritium sights are set at co-witness height, so you keep a usable iron sight picture whether or not you mount an optic. A bobbed hammer helps reduce snag on the draw, and the ambidextrous controls make the gun workable from either hand. The integrated Picatinny rail on the dust cover adds a mounting point for a light or laser.

It ships with one Shield Arms S15 magazine and accepts any Glock 43X/48-pattern mag, including aftermarket options with +5 extensions that push capacity to 20 rounds. For 1911 fans who have always wanted that platform for carry but couldn't stomach single-stack capacity, the S15 makes a genuinely compelling case.
The S15 is designed around the Glock 43X/48 magazine pattern, and it ships with one Shield Arms S15 15-round magazine. It will also accept standard Glock 43X and 48 magazines, as well as compatible aftermarket options. Shield Arms and Taran Tactical both make +5 extensions that bring total capacity up to 20+1 if you want even more on tap.

The two are very close in footprint. The AF1911 S15 comes in at 7.5 inches long, 5.1 inches tall, and 1.36 inches wide, putting it in roughly the same neighborhood as the 43X for concealment purposes. The main difference is weight: the all-metal AF1911 comes in at 28.5 oz empty, which is considerably heavier than the polymer Glock, but that added mass does help soak up recoil.
Yes. Alpha Foxtrot built the S15 around a standard 1911 trigger and hammer, which means most standard 1911 trigger components are compatible for tuning or replacement. The disconnector and sear are standard 1911 dimensions, so an experienced pistolsmith can lighten and clean up the pull with commonly available parts.
The AF1911 S15 ships in a pistol pouch rather than a traditional hard plastic case. The pouch includes elastic loops for storing additional magazines, which is handy for range use and keeps storage compact. If you prefer a hard case for transport or storage, you would need to source one separately.
