The ATI Shotforce Deluxe Heat Shield solves two problems at once. It keeps your support hand off a barrel that heats up fast during range sessions or back-to-back drills, and it gives your pump gun a proper set of aiming sights instead of the little factory bead. The shield is formed from steel and runs 13.5 inches long, with elongated cooling slots cut down the sides so heat sheds quickly instead of building up under your hand.
What sets the Deluxe apart from a plain shield is the mounted sight package. It ships with AR-15-style fixed nylon ghost ring sights that install onto the shield before it goes on the gun, so you end up with a rear aperture and front post that pull your eye onto target quicker than a bead ever will. If you run a red dot or a scope on the same shotgun, the ghost rings pop off and stay out of the way.
This one adapts to most 12, 16, 20 gauge and .410 pump barrels, and it works on a wide range of platforms including Remington 870, Maverick 88, Stevens 320, and similar guns. A cloth over the tabs keeps the finish clean while you work.
