The Advantage Arms 1911 Standard Conversion Kit lets you run cheap .22 LR through the same 1911 frame you already know. Instead of feeding your .45 or 9mm all day, you swap the slide and magazine and keep training with the exact grip, trigger, and presentation you carry or compete with. The Standard model places the sights on the slide, so they move with the slide the same way your factory 1911 setup does. That makes the transition between your centerfire gun and the .22 feel natural. The kit uses fully adjustable Champion rear sights, so you can dial in your point of impact once you find a .22 load your gun likes.
Build quality is a big part of the appeal here. The slide is CNC machined from 7075-T6 aluminum with a steel breech insert, and the barrel, recoil spring, guide rod, and slide stop are made from heat-treated 4140 steel.
