Description
AAC has been building suppressors since 1994, and the Ranger 7 shows they still know what a working rifle can needs to be. This is a .30 caliber suppressor rated up to 300 Win Mag, which means it happily covers .308 Win, 7.62 NATO, 6.5 Creedmoor, and just about anything else in that bore range. One can, one tax stamp, and it moves from your AR-10 to your bolt gun without complaint. It is full-auto rated with no minimum barrel length, so short-barreled builds and hard range days are fair game.
Built From the Good Stuff
The Ranger 7 uses a tubeless construction of Inconel 718 and 17-4 H900 stainless steel, finished in high-temp Cerakote. Inconel is the same nickel alloy you find in jet engines and belt-fed rated cans, and it shrugs off the heat and pressure that magnum cartridges throw at it. Despite that durability, the whole package comes in at 6.75 inches and 17.2 ounces, which is a reasonable footprint for something rated to 300 Win Mag. Expect around 24 dB of reduction on a 300 Win Mag bolt gun and up to 30 dB on a 20 inch .308 running M80 ball.
Mounting the Ranger 7 Your Way
AAC went with industry-standard 1.375-24 HUB threads on the back end, so you are not locked into one proprietary mounting system. Out of the box it ships with a 5/8-24 direct thread adapter that has a muzzle brake built right in, ready to spin onto most .30 cal threaded barrels. If you prefer quick-detach, HUB compatibility opens the door to a wide range of aftermarket mounts, and AAC offers a 51T adapter for folks who already have legacy AAC brakes and flash hiders on their rifles.
Easy to Live With Long Term
The front end cap is user serviceable, so you can pull it for cleaning and maintenance instead of treating the can as sealed for life. Between the removable cap, the tough alloys, and the flexible mounting, the Ranger 7 is set up to be the do-everything .30 cal in your safe for a long time.

Frequently Asked Questions
What calibers can I shoot through the AAC Ranger 7?
The Ranger 7 is rated up to 300 Win Mag, which covers the whole .30 caliber family below it. That includes .308 Win, 7.62 NATO, 6.5 Creedmoor, 300 Blackout, and similar cartridges. It is a solid pick if you want one can to cover multiple rifles.
Is the Ranger 7 HUB compatible with other mounts?
Yes, it uses industry-standard 1.375-24 HUB threads, so it works with a wide range of aftermarket mounting systems. It is not Key-Mo compatible, but Rearden Atlas style mounts work well with it. AAC also makes a 51T adapter if you already run their legacy brakes and flash hiders.
Can I run the Ranger 7 on a short barrel or full-auto rifle?
You can. The Ranger 7 is full-auto rated with no minimum barrel length restriction, thanks to its Inconel 718 and 17-4 stainless construction. It was designed for hard duty use, so range days on an SBR or gas gun will not hurt it.
How quiet is the AAC Ranger 7?
AAC lists about 24 dB of reduction on a 300 Win Mag bolt action and around 30 dB on a 20 inch .308 shooting M80 ball ammo. Real-world numbers vary with barrel length, ammo, and host rifle, but those figures put it right in line with other quality .30 cal cans in this size class.
