Whether you're running a Streamlight TLR-6 or TLR-7 Sub, a Viridian Reactor 5, or similar rail-mounted lights, this holster channels them securely. The optic-ready design accommodates most rear-mounted red dot sights without interference. The beveled steel belt clip handles belts up to about 1.5 inches and holds everything in place with serious retention while remaining comfortable throughout the day.

Many modern compact weapon lights will work, but it's worth verifying before ordering.
Deer hide comes fairly supple compared to some leather holsters, so break-in is minimal. That said, following 1791's included instructions helps accelerate molding. Some carriers wrap their unloaded pistol in a thin sock or freezer bag and seat it in the holster for a few days to speed things along. The leather will form around your gun and body over time, getting more comfortable with use.
Whitetail deer hide is naturally thinner and more flexible than cowhide, which means less bulk at your waistline and better all-day comfort. It remains durable and long-lasting, just with a softer feel against your body. The tradeoff is that it's slightly more pliable, so it requires proper care and routine maintenance with leather conditioner to keep it from drying out. Most carriers find the comfort advantage worth it.
The multi-fit design accommodates different carry positions. Appendix carry works fine for many people, though the specific angle and comfort depend on your build and the optic/light setup.
