1791 holsters come ready to use out of the box without a lengthy break-in. Some people prefer to condition the leather by running a wrapped pistol in and out of it a few times, or placing a plastic bag-wrapped gun in the holster for a few days to mold the fit perfectly. This is optional and helps the holster conform even better to your specific pistol.
The holster uses an American steel clip that locks firmly over your belt without sliding or shifting during movement.
