New 1791 leather is intentionally stiff from the factory to ensure proper retention. Wear it regularly and the leather will naturally conform to your carry position over several days. Some people speed up the process by wrapping magazines in plastic wrap and inserting them in the carrier while it sits, allowing the leather to mold around the shape. Avoid leather treatments or conditioners that soften the hide too much, since the carrier needs its structure for reliable retention.
This model is designed for outside-the-waistband carry on a belt-slide mount.
