The Trijicon HD XR Suppressor/Optic Height Night Sights take Trijicon's proven HD night sight design and build it taller so it works with suppressors and sits where you need it for a red dot. This set fits the slim-frame Glock lineup, covering the 42, 43, 43X, 43X MOS, 48, and 48 MOS. Up front you get a green tritium lamp wrapped in a high-visibility yellow photoluminescent ring, paired with a green tritium rear in a blacked-out U-notch so your eye snaps straight to the front dot.
The big difference here is the front post. The HD XR uses a thinner .122-inch front blade compared to the chunkier standard HD. That slimmer post opens up your field of view, which helps with spotting your target, running faster follow-ups, and squeezing out more precision at distance. The yellow outline soaks up ambient light during the day and glows on its own in the dark, while the green tritium keeps you aimed in when there's no light at all.
These are taller than standard irons for a reason. The added height lets the sights clear the extra bulk of a suppressor, and it raises the dots high enough to co-witness with a slide-mounted red dot. If you're running an optic on a 43X MOS or 48 MOS, or you just want a backup sight picture that lines up through the window, this is the height you want. The rear sight features an angled, serrated U-notch that cuts glare and keeps your focus on that front dot.
Trijicon houses the tritium in a rugged metal body cushioned in silicone rubber, so it shrugs off recoil, holstering, and daily carry. The green tritium lamps carry a 12-year warranty from the date of manufacture, meaning you get well over a decade of always-on aiming without ever touching a battery. It's the kind of sight setup that law enforcement and serious pistol shooters lean on, and it holds up just as well for everyday carry.
Yes. This set is built for the slim-frame Glocks and covers the 42, 43, 43X, 43X MOS, 48, and 48 MOS. It's the suppressor/optic height version, so it's a natural match if you're running or planning to run a red dot on the MOS slide.
They can. The suppressor/optic height build raises the sights tall enough to line up through most slide-mounted optic windows, giving you a backup iron sight picture. The exact co-witness (absolute or lower 1/3) will depend on your optic and mounting plate setup.
The HD XR runs a thinner .122-inch front post, while the standard HD uses a wider front blade. That narrower post gives you a larger field of view and more precise aiming at distance, which is the main reason folks pick the XR for longer shots. Both share the glowing outline and green tritium.
No batteries at all. The green tritium lamps glow on their own in the dark and are warranted for 12 years from the date of manufacture. The yellow photoluminescent outline charges up in ambient light for added daytime contrast.
