Description

Barrett built this one to mark America's 250th birthday, and it shows in every detail. The M107A1 America 250 Series takes the company's flagship .50 BMG semi-auto and dresses it in a custom Cerakote finish featuring a subdued 1776 flag design. Production is capped at just 250 units, each serialized FREEDOM001 through FREEDOM250, so this is as much a piece of American firearms history as it is a working rifle.

Under that commemorative finish sits the same recoil-operated M107A1 that has earned its legendary reputation. Barrett re-engineered this platform with aluminum, titanium, and stainless steel where it counts, shaving roughly four pounds off the older M107 while keeping the toughness intact. The 20-inch fluted, chrome-lined barrel runs a 1:15 twist and feeds from a 10-round steel magazine with witness holes so you can see your round count at a glance. Up top you get an aluminum upper with an integral 27 MOA optics rail, ready for a serious long-range scope.

What Sets the M107A1 250th Anniversary Apart

The short 20-inch barrel makes this a more maneuverable big-bore than the 29-inch version, trading a bit of velocity for handling. It is suppressor-ready out of the gate, with a cylindrical muzzle brake designed to host the Barrett QDL suppressor. A thermal cheek guard, quick-detach titanium bipod, and adjustable rear monopod round out the package, and despite the .50 BMG punch, the brake and dual recoil springs tame the kick to something closer to a heavy shotgun than you might expect.

Who the America 250 Series M107A1 Is For

This rifle lands squarely with serious collectors and Barrett enthusiasts who want a piece tied to the U.S. Semiquincentennial. With only 250 made and a matching 82A1 sibling in the same series, it carries real collector weight. That said, it is a fully functional M107A1, so whether you keep it pristine in the case or run it at the range is entirely your call.

Frequently Asked Questions

What makes the M107A1 250th Anniversary different from a standard M107A1?

Mechanically it is the same battle-proven M107A1, but this America 250 Series version wears a custom Cerakote finish with a subdued 1776 flag design to honor America's 250th birthday. Each rifle is serialized FREEDOM001 through FREEDOM250 and ships with exclusive collector extras. Only 250 were produced, making it a genuine limited edition.

How many of these rifles were made?

Barrett capped production at 250 units of the 20-inch M107A1 as part of the broader 500-rifle America 250 Series. The other half of that run consists of 250 Model 82A1 rifles with a separate LIBERTY serial range. With numbers that small, availability is extremely limited.

What comes in the box with the America 250 Series M107A1?

Beyond the rifle itself, the package includes an RMJ Tactical Kestrel Tomahawk, a commemorative challenge coin, and a rugged Pelican hard case. You also get the standard M107A1 kit with a 10-round magazine, the quick-detach titanium bipod, and the adjustable monopod. It is set up to be display-worthy and field-ready at the same time.

Is the M107A1 suppressor-ready?

Yes. The rifle features a cylindrical muzzle brake engineered to host the Barrett QDL suppressor, and the lower receiver uses a recoil buffer system optimized for suppressed fire. That setup gives you real signature reduction when running a can.

How bad is the recoil on a .50 BMG like this?

It sounds intimidating, but the large muzzle brake combined with dual barrel recoil springs and a heavy buffer spring soaks up a lot of the energy. Most folks describe the recoil impulse as closer to a heavy 12-gauge load than the violent shove you might imagine. The roughly 27-pound rifle weight helps settle things down too.

Why a 20-inch barrel instead of the 29-inch?

The 20-inch barrel makes the M107A1 noticeably more maneuverable, which is handy if you are moving it around or working from a vehicle. You give up around 250 fps of velocity compared to the 29-inch version, but for many uses the trade in handling is worth it. Both barrels share the same chrome-lined bore and 1:15 twist.
