FosTech built its name on triggers, but the Tech-15 Stryker proves the Indiana company knows how to put together a complete rifle. This 5.56 NATO AR-15 starts with FosTech's own forged aluminum Tech-15 upper and lower receiver set, then adds a 16 inch barrel with a 1:7 twist that stabilizes everything from light varmint loads up to heavier 77 grain match ammo. A black nitride bolt carrier group keeps cycling slick and makes cleanup a quick wipe-down job instead of a scrubbing session.
The standout piece here is FosTech's Mach 2 13 inch handguard, a free-floated M-LOK rail that keeps the front end slim and light while leaving plenty of real estate for lights, sling mounts, and hand stops. The full-length top rail lines up with the receiver, so mounting an optic or a set of flip-up sights is straightforward. A low-profile .750 gas block tucks neatly under the rail, and the mid-length gas system smooths out the recoil impulse for quicker follow-up shots. Out back, the MFT Minimalist stock adjusts through six positions and shaves weight where most stocks add it, while FosTech's Sabre grip fills the hand comfortably without feeling bulky.
The single-stage trigger breaks clean and predictable, which is exactly what you want in a rifle that pulls double duty between range days, training classes, and home protection. And if the FosTech Echo trigger has been on your wish list, this lower will accept one down the road, so the Stryker makes a smart platform to grow into. Each rifle ships in a hard case with one 30 round magazine, so all that's left to add is ammo and the optic of your choice. For anyone wanting an AR that runs lighter and looks sharper than the usual entry-level fare, this one earns a hard look.
No, this model ships without iron sights or an optic. The upper receiver's Picatinny rail runs flush with the rail on the Mach 2 handguard, giving you an uninterrupted top surface for a red dot, LPVO, or a set of flip-up backup sights. That's a plus for most buyers since you get to pick glass that fits your budget and shooting style.
This SKU ships with a standard single-stage trigger that breaks clean for a factory unit. FosTech also offers Stryker variants with their Echo AR II and Echo Sport triggers pre-installed, and this lower will accept an Echo trigger later if you decide to upgrade. It's a nice path to grow the rifle without starting over.
The 16 inch barrel is chambered for 5.56 NATO, so it safely runs both 5.56 and .223 Remington. The 1:7 twist rate favors heavier bullets, so 62 to 77 grain loads tend to stabilize very well, though most rifles in this twist still shoot common 55 grain range ammo just fine. It's a versatile setup for plinking, training, and defensive use.
Yes. The 13 inch Mach 2 rail is free-floated and M-LOK compatible along the sides and bottom, so lights, lasers, sling mounts, and hand stops attach directly with M-LOK hardware. The full-length top Picatinny rail handles optics and backup sights, and the slim profile keeps the rifle comfortable to grip even with accessories mounted.
