No switches, no charging, no batteries to swap out.
This particular set fits 1911 5" Government models in .45 ACP with the Novak LoMount dovetail cut (.260 front / .450 rear), and it also works on Ruger SR1911 pistols with a fixed rear sight. The bodies are CNC-machined from steel and wear TruGlo's Fortress finish for corrosion protection, with a snag-resistant profile that slides in and out of standard holsters without hanging up.
The color combo here is the smart part. A bright green front dot flanked by softer yellow rear dots gives your eye an instant reference point, so your focus lands on the front sight where it belongs. That contrast makes lining up the dots quick and cuts down on confusion in low light, which is exactly what you want when speed counts. The tritium is Swiss-made and the sets are assembled in the USA.
These are dovetail sights, so plan on a sight pusher or a trip to your gunsmith rather than a tap with a punch. On guns cut to true Novak spec they tend to seat snugly with little to no fitting, though some slides run tight and may need a touch of filing to slide home. Once they're in, a lot of owners report shooting close to point of aim with only minor windage tweaks. If your eyes aren't what they used to be, this is one of the more popular upgrades out there for good reason.

The two-color layout is designed to pull your focus to the front sight, which is where it should be for accurate shooting. The brighter green front stands out against the dimmer yellow rear dots, so aligning your sights is quick and there's little chance of mixing up front and rear in dim light.
These are dovetail sights, so you'll want a sight pusher tool rather than a hammer and punch. On slides cut to proper Novak spec they often seat with little fitting, but some guns run tight and may need light filing to seat fully. If you're not comfortable with the process, a gunsmith can knock it out quickly.
