This barrel uses M13.5×1 left-hand metric threads rather than the common 1/2×28 standard. That matters because left-hand threads reduce the chance of muzzle devices loosening during recoil, which is why HK chose them in the first place. The left-hand design is standard on European firearms and works perfectly with metric-threaded suppressors and compensators built to this specification.
The barrel is designed as a direct replacement for full-size VP9 platforms and installs without any modification to your pistol. It's machined to exact HK German tolerances, so you get that factory precision fit every time. This is the OEM part, so you're getting the same barrel HK uses on their VP9 Tactical models.
No, the barrel does not include a thread protector. It's sold separately. We recommend getting one to protect the threads when you're not using a muzzle device or suppressor, especially during storage and transport.
This barrel is designed for full-size VP9 models only. It will not fit VP9 Compact or VP9 Match variants. If you have a compact or match model, you'll need the barrel made specifically for that version.
