The XS Sights R3D set gives your Smith & Wesson M&P a real upgrade in visibility without changing how the pistol carries or holsters. It runs a traditional 3-dot tritium, notch-and-post layout, with the twist that the front sight does the heavy lifting for your eye. The orange front Glow Dot soaks up ambient light and glows on its own in the dark, while the self-powered tritium keeps it lit around the clock with no batteries to worry about.
The rear is blacked out on purpose. Instead of three matching dots that can blur together in a hurry, the rear pulls back so your focus snaps to that bright front post and the target beyond it. XS uses a slightly brighter tritium vial up front and lets it charge the Glow Dot, which means the front sight glows noticeably harder than the rear. That contrast is what makes target acquisition quick under stress or in low light. The wider rear notch also leaves plenty of daylight on either side of the front blade, so lining things up is fast even when the light is bad.
Orange tends to pop the best against bright backgrounds and busy surroundings, and plenty of folks find it easier to pick up than green in daylight. It still stays visible after dark thanks to the tritium. These sights are CNC machined from solid steel bar stock at the XS shop in Fort Worth, Texas, so they hold up to years of carry, drawing, and range time. The rear also has a ledge you can use to rack the slide one-handed off a belt or boot if you ever need to.

The orange Ember Glow Dot front is designed to grab your eye fast, especially in bright daylight where it contrasts well against most backgrounds.
