Description

The Fusion XP Pro takes the classic 1911 feel everybody loves and stretches it into a modern double-stack package. It's a 2011-style, hammer-fired single-action pistol built on a wide-body steel frame, and the clever part is that it feeds from standard Glock 17 magazines. That means cheap, plentiful mags you can find just about anywhere instead of pricey proprietary sticks. This particular version comes dressed in a polished chrome-and-black two-tone with a threaded 4-inch bull barrel and ships with two 10-round magazines.

What Sets the XP Pro Chrome Apart

Fusion built this thing the right way. The slide, frame, and internals are CNC-machined from bar stock, and the only polycarbonate piece is the magazine catch, which Fusion settled on after testing because it plays nicely with Glock's polymer mags and cuts down on wear. The 4-inch Clark/Para ramped bull barrel is paired with a one-piece full-length guide rod, a combo that keeps recoil flat and predictable. The chrome version gets a Tennifer base coat first, then a hard chrome overcoat on top, so you're getting both serious corrosion resistance and that head-turning shine.

Running a Suppressor or Comp on the XP Pro

The threaded muzzle is the reason a lot of folks reach for this model. Whether you want to hang a can on it for quiet range days or thread on a compensator for flatter follow-up shots, the work is already done. The slide is also RMR-cut with a removable Novak-style rear plate, and an RMR plate ships in the box so you can mount a red dot without a trip to the gunsmith.

Grip, Controls, and Real-World Feel

The aluminum grip module wears a chainlink pattern with a checkered front strap, giving you a positive hold that anchors the hand without chewing up your palms during long sessions. You also get an ambidextrous thumb safety, a wide paddle slide stop, and a removable magwell for fast reloads. Owners consistently call the XP Pro a soft shooter that runs clean, with the all-steel weight soaking up recoil and the crisp single-action trigger making accuracy easy to find.

Frequently Asked Questions

What magazines does the Fusion XP Pro use?

The XP Pro is built to run standard Glock 17 magazines right out of the box. That's a big draw since Glock mags are cheap, easy to find, and you may already own a pile of them. This model ships with two 10-round magazines, and standard-capacity Glock 9mm mags will drop right in.

Is the XP Pro a true 2011-style pistol?

Yes. It's a double-stack 1911, which is what most people mean by a 2011 these days. It's a hammer-fired, single-action design on a wide-body steel frame with a removable aluminum grip module, so you get classic 1911 trigger feel with modern double-stack capacity.

What can I do with the threaded barrel?

The threaded 4-inch bull barrel lets you mount a suppressor for quieter shooting or thread on a compensator to flatten out recoil. The threading is already done, so it's a simple swap when you're ready to add a muzzle device.

Does the XP Pro come optic-ready?

It does. The slide is RMR-cut with a removable Novak-style rear plate, and an RMR plate ships in the box. You can mount an RMR or SRO red dot without sending the slide off for milling.

How does the XP Pro shoot?

Owners regularly describe it as a soft, accurate shooter with a crisp single-action trigger. The all-steel build and full-length guide rod keep recoil flat and controllable, and reliability reports across the platform have been strong, with many running clean from the start.

What's the difference between this chrome version and the black model?

Both share the same XP Pro platform, but the chrome version gets a Tennifer base coat followed by a hard chrome overcoat, giving it a polished two-tone look along with extra corrosion resistance. The black model wears a straight Tennifer QPQ finish. This SKU is the chrome model with a threaded barrel and two 10-round magazines.
