What's In the XD 45 Trigger Kit

Every XD 45 Drop-In Trigger Kit ships with a polymer trigger that has an over-travel stop built right into the back of it, so there's no shim or set screw wearing on the trigger bar down the road. Alongside the trigger you get Powder River Precision's well known striker safety lever, a standard weight trigger spring and striker spring, a lighter competition set marked with blue ink, plus a reduced power sear spring and striker safety spring. Having both spring weights on hand lets you experiment with pull weight before settling on the combo that fits how you shoot.

How the XD 45 Trigger Feels Once It's In

Most owners land somewhere between 3.5 and 4.5 pounds of pull once everything is installed, and running the blue competition springs can bring that number down closer to 3 pounds for anyone chasing a lighter break. Pre-travel shortens up noticeably and the reset snaps back much quicker than the factory setup, which shows up right away on the range or in a match. The trigger itself is built from tough, lightweight polymer to help that reset along, and the whole kit is made in the USA.

Installing it does mean getting into the fire control group inside the frame, an area most XD owners never have a reason to open up.
