Description

Weatherby built the Model 307 as its first new bolt action in over 50 years, and the Hush Edition is the version dialed in by the Hushin crew for hunters who want a rifle that works as hard as they do. This one is chambered in .300 Winchester Magnum with a fluted 22 inch barrel, which keeps the package handy in the timber or on a horseback hunt while the included Accubrake takes real sting out of magnum recoil. The 1/2×28 threaded muzzle also means you can spin the brake off and run a suppressor whenever you want to quiet things down.

The 307 Hush Action is Built to Grow With You

The heart of this rifle is a 2-lug, fully cylindrical action that accepts 700-platform stocks, triggers, rails, and bottom metal, so upgrades down the road are easy. From the factory it already comes well equipped: an externally adjustable TriggerTech Field trigger with a crisp, zero-creep break, Magpul bottom metal with a 5-round detachable magazine, an M16-style extractor for positive ejection, and a bolt that comes apart for cleaning without any tools. A Peak 44 Picatinny rail sits up top ready for your scope, and the Peak 44 Arca/Pic forend adapter handles bipods and tripod heads without fuss.

A Hush Edition Stock That Fits Right

The hydro-dipped Hush Tundra camo stock features an adjustable cheekpiece and adjustable length of pull, so you can set it up to fit you instead of adapting to the rifle. Textured grip points keep it planted with cold or wet hands, and the Graphite Black Cerakote on the barrel, receiver, bolt, and bolt knob shrugs off rough weather. Built in Sheridan, Wyoming and backed by Weatherby's sub-MOA guarantee, this is a .300 Win Mag that brings custom rifle features to a serious elk and mule deer setup right out of the box.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is the Weatherby 307 Hush suppressor ready?

Yes. The 22 inch fluted barrel is threaded 1/2×28 and ships with an Accubrake installed. Remove the brake and you can thread on a suppressor or another muzzle device of your choice, which fits the whole quiet-hunting theme of the Hush Edition.

Does the 307 Hush accept Remington 700 aftermarket parts?

It does. The Model 307 action is a 2-lug, fully cylindrical design built around the 700 footprint, so it works with a huge range of aftermarket stocks, triggers, rails, and bottom metal. That makes it one of the most customizable actions Weatherby has ever offered.

How accurate is the Weatherby 307 Hush in .300 Win Mag?

Weatherby backs every Model 307 with a sub-MOA guarantee, meaning a 3-shot group of .99 inches or less at 100 yards from a cold barrel with Weatherby factory or premium ammo. The TriggerTech Field trigger breaks clean with zero creep and adjusts externally down to 2.5 pounds, which goes a long way toward shooting up to that guarantee.

Is a 22 inch barrel long enough for .300 Win Mag?

You give up a little velocity compared to a 24 or 26 inch tube, but the trade is a noticeably handier rifle in thick cover, on a pack frame, or in a saddle scabbard. With modern high-BC bullets, a 22 inch .300 Win Mag still carries plenty of authority for elk, moose, and mule deer at realistic hunting distances. Keep in mind the Accubrake adds about 2 inches to the overall barrel length.
