Yes, this is a dedicated left-hand configuration, not a right-hand action in a neutral stock. The bolt handle, ejection port, and action are all set up for left-handed operation, which makes running the bolt from the shoulder much smoother for southpaw hunters.
Less than you'd expect. The .257 Wby is already one of the milder Weatherby magnums, and the factory Accubrake ST plus the 3DHEX recoil pad do a lot of work spreading out and softening the impulse. Most folks find it comfortable enough for extended range sessions, though the brake does add muzzle blast like any effective brake.
It does. Every Weatherby Mark V is guaranteed to shoot a sub-MOA three-shot group at 100 yards from a cold barrel with quality factory ammunition. The thin fluted barrel is built for cold-bore hunting shots, so let it cool between groups when you're testing loads.
