The 22 inch BSF carbon fiber barrel starts life as a 416R stainless match blank that gets sleeved in carbon fiber under tension, which keeps the barrel stiff and the rifling straight as it heats up. Out at the muzzle you get a machined titanium Accubrake ST on 5/8×24 threads, cut left-hand to match the action, and the whole package weighs in light enough that you'll forget it's on your shoulder halfway up the ridge.
The heart of this rifle is Weatherby's legendary Mark V action with its short 54 degree bolt throw, which means faster cycling and more scope clearance than a standard 90 degree bolt. The deep spiral fluting on the bolt body cuts weight and reduces bearing surface for a smoother stroke, and the bolt knob is removable if you want to swap it. Feeding comes from a 4+1 hinged floorplate, and the adjustable TriggerTech trigger lets you dial the pull weight to your liking right out of the box. All the exposed metal wears Graphite Black Cerakote to shrug off weather and rough handling.
Weatherby went with one of the lightest production carbon fiber stocks in the business here. The Blacktooth uses a carbon fiber bedding block that mates with the recoil lug, plus a 3DHex recoil pad with a honeycomb structure that collapses under recoil and turns a sharp kick into a push.
