The Mark V action brings its famous short 54-degree bolt throw, so you cycle fast and keep plenty of knuckle clearance under your scope. Deep spiral fluting on the bolt body sheds weight and reduces bearing surface for a noticeably smooth stroke, and the removable bolt knob lets you swap in a knob that suits your hands or gloves. Patriot Brown Cerakote on the barrel, receiver, and trigger guard shrugs off weather and pack wear.

The 1-in-8 twist barrel stabilizes just about any 6.5 Creedmoor load, so finding an accurate hunting round is usually easy.
Yes, the Accubrake ST threads onto the muzzle, so you can remove it if you prefer. In 6.5 Creedmoor the recoil is mild to begin with, and the 3DHEX recoil pad does a lot of the work on its own. Some hunters pull the brake in the field to cut down on muzzle blast, and that is a perfectly reasonable way to run this rifle.
No sights or rail are included. The receiver is drilled and tapped, so you will need bases or a rail plus rings to mount your optic. The short 54-degree bolt throw is a nice bonus here since it gives you extra clearance for lower scope mounting without banging your knuckles.
