Out of the box you get an externally adjustable TriggerTech Field trigger that breaks clean down to 2.5 pounds, a Peak 44 Picatinny rail already installed, and a three piece bolt with an M16 style extractor that strips down for cleaning without a single tool.
The rifle sits in MDT's HNT26, a chassis designed from the start for hunting rather than adapted from a match gun. At roughly 26 ounces, it combines a magnesium alloy core with a carbon fiber forend, grip, and buttstock, and it gives you v-block bedding, an adjustable comb, adjustable length of pull, and AICS magazine compatibility. The MDT HNT26 chassis feeds from AICS-pattern detachable box magazines, and one comes with the rifle. In .300 Win Mag it holds 3 rounds in the magazine plus one in the chamber. AICS long action magnum magazines are widely available if you want spares.
