The fluting on the barrel is not just for looks. It trims weight, stiffens the profile, and adds surface area so the barrel cools quicker between strings. Weatherby's Accubrake ST caps the muzzle and knocks felt recoil down by as much as 53 percent, and when you combine that with the 3D-Hex recoil pad on the Bastion stock, this 7mm PRC is far more pleasant off the bench than the chambering would suggest. The TriggerTech trigger is a real highlight too, with a zero-creep break, minimal overtravel, and external adjustment down to 2.5 pounds. A two-position safety and a spiral-fluted bolt with a skeletonized handle round out the action, and the bolt strips down for cleaning without a single tool.
Because the Model 307 uses a familiar 700-pattern footprint, the Alpine ST slots right into the huge world of aftermarket stocks, triggers, rails, and mounts. The receiver is drilled and tapped for 8-40 screws, so your optic sits on a solid foundation, and the M16-style extractor keeps extraction and ejection running smooth when it counts. In 7mm PRC the rifle feeds from a metal MDT magazine with a 3+1 capacity.

You can. The muzzle is threaded and ships with the Accubrake ST installed, so you can spin the brake off and mount a suppressor when you want to keep things quiet. Just keep in mind the brake does a lot of work taming 7mm PRC recoil, so expect a bit more push with a can that doesn't manage recoil as aggressively.
