Walker’s Single Mic Electronic Muff – Over-the-Head Hearing Protection

Description

Getting reliable electronic hearing protection that doesn't cost a fortune is one of the smarter moves a new or budget-minded shooter can make, and the Walker's Single Mic Electronic Muff hits that sweet spot. It uses a single wind-resistant, high-frequency microphone paired with sound activated compression, so normal range chatter, safety commands, and footsteps in the deer woods come through clearly while the electronics clamp down the instant a shot goes off. You get a 24dB noise reduction rating for solid passive protection, plus up to 4X hearing enhancement when the electronics are running.

How the Walker's Single Mic Muff Handles Loud Noise

The magic here is the sound activated compression, which reacts in about 0.02 seconds. That means the moment a gunshot or other sharp impulse hits, the muff drops the volume to a safe level and then opens right back up so you don't miss what's happening around you. There's a single volume control knob on the cup, so dialing the amplification up or down is quick and glove-friendly. Power comes from AAA batteries, which are included in the box to get you going out of the gate.

Comfort and Carry with the Single Mic Electronic Muff

This is a low-profile, over-the-head muff with gray ear cups and a black headband, and the compact folding design makes it easy to toss in a range bag or truck console between sessions. At right around a pound it stays comfortable through a long session at the bench or a morning in the blind, and the slim cups play nicely with a rifle or shotgun stock so you're not fighting your cheek weld.

For pistol days at an indoor range, general rifle practice, hunting, or handing off to a spouse or kid getting into the sport, this Walker's muff covers a lot of ground without complication. It does the core job of an electronic muff well, and that's exactly what most people want.
