The Walkers AM/FM Digital Muff is that rare piece of gear that pulls double duty. You get real hearing protection rated at 25 dB NRR, plus a built-in radio so the hours behind the mower, on the jobsite, or at the bench don't drag on in silence. The over-the-head design and extra-wide padded headband keep the pressure spread out, which makes a real difference when you're wearing them for a full afternoon.
The built-in digital radio is the heart of this thing. It runs a switch key and volume adjustment, an auto search and frequency scanning function, and channel memory that holds up to 8 of your go-to stations. A built-in antenna pulls in signal well, and the digital display keeps you posted on your current channel plus a low-battery readout so you're never caught guessing. If radio isn't your thing, there's a 3.5mm input jack on board to plug in a phone, MP3 player, or CD player and run your own audio straight through the cups.
The wide, soft-padded headband is the feature people come back to again and again. It's built to carry the weight of the electronics without digging in, so long days feel a lot less like a chore. The build handles dust, sweat, and general shop-and-field abuse without complaint, which is a big reason folks tend to buy a second pair when the first finally wears out. This is a passive protection muff, meaning it blocks sound rather than amplifying quiet noises, so it's aimed at anyone who wants steady, dependable coverage with a little entertainment baked in.
It ships ready to run with batteries included, so you can pull it out of the package and get going. For range days, hunting, yard work, or long hours around loud equipment, this is a straightforward, well-priced way to keep your ears covered and your playlist going.
It carries a 25 dB Noise Reduction Rating, which is solid coverage for range days, hunting, mowing, and working around loud machinery. This is a passive muff, so it blocks sound rather than amplifying quieter noises around you. If you want steady protection with entertainment built in, it fits the bill nicely.
Yes. Along with the built-in digital AM/FM radio, there's a 3.5mm input jack that lets you plug in a phone, MP3 player, or CD player. You just run a standard aux cable and listen to your own audio straight through the ear cups.
It does. The muff ships with batteries installed, so you can pull it out of the box and start using it right away. The digital display includes a low-battery indicator to let you know when it's time for fresh ones.
The extra-wide, soft-padded headband is one of the features people mention most. It spreads out the weight of the electronics so it doesn't dig into the top of your head, which makes full-day use a lot more comfortable. It's a common reason folks pick these up again after their first pair wears out.
