The PDP F-Series was purpose-built from the ground up for shooters who've always had to work around pistols designed for larger hands. Walther measured thousands of hands to get the grip geometry right, resulting in a reduced circumference, a more upright grip angle, and a trigger reach that puts the flat-faced DPT-E trigger exactly where it needs to be. The F-Series Pro-E takes that already solid foundation and layers on the Pro upgrades: the upgraded Dynamic Performance Trigger Enhanced (DPT-E), a polymer magwell for faster reloads, and polymer +3 basepad magazine extensions that push capacity to 18+1 rounds.
The DPT-E is a flat-faced, polymer trigger that Walther designed specifically for the F-Series. It clocks in around 5 lbs of pull with a crisp, clean break and a short, tactile reset. It's a noticeably better trigger than what you find on the standard PDP-F, and it's one of the main reasons to step up to the Pro-E. Combine that with the polymer flared magwell and the overall reload experience is genuinely faster and more consistent.
The slide is steel with Walther's SuperTerrain serrations, which protrude above the surface rather than being cut into it. They give you a positive purchase even when your hands are wet or cold. The optics-ready cut accepts a variety of red dot footprints via Walther's adapter plate system, and Walther includes a card with the pistol that lets you redeem one free optic plate. Adjustable white dot iron sights are factory standard, so you're ready to run it either way from day one.
This pistol isn't pigeonholed as a single-purpose gun. It works well as a carry option, a home defense platform, and a range trainer.
