The standard P22 platform is designed with suppressor compatibility in mind, and many versions include a threaded barrel or accept a threaded barrel adapter. However, this specific Military model (MPN 5120338) does not include a threaded barrel. The Picatinny rail does allow for a laser or light to be mounted.
On the first pull with the hammer down, the trigger operates in double-action, which requires a longer and heavier pull to both cock and release the hammer. Once the pistol fires and the slide cycles, the hammer stays cocked and subsequent shots are lighter single-action pulls. The ambidextrous safety also functions as a decocker, which safely drops the hammer without firing.
