Make sure you're buying the full-size version, not the compact (Officer's) size. Some models may have ambi-safety cuts available if you need them.
The golfball pattern on the front is definitely aggressive and sharp right out of the box. The diagonal grooves on the back are much smoother. Some people lightly sand with fine grit paper to take the edge off if they prefer, but most find the texture perfect for grip security without being uncomfortable after a few range trips.
Yes. G10 won't absorb moisture, resists impact, and won't expand or contract with temperature changes. They're solid for carry or range work in any climate. Unlike some composite materials, G10 also handles gun solvents and cleaners without degrading.
Standard full-size 1911 grips use the same screw bushings you already have. Screws usually come with the gun or the grips. Only slim-line grip orders typically need new screws and bushings, so you should be fine with a standard full-size set.
