The Operator II uses a balanced approach with the more aggressive golfball texture on the front third and diagonal cuts toward the back. VZ specifically recommends the Operator II for range and home-defense use. It's less extreme than some of their tactical options but still gives you solid control without being uncomfortable for extended shooting sessions.
These grip panels come as a pair only. You'll use your existing 1911 grip screws to install them. If your screws are worn or you prefer to replace them, VZ offers universal bushings and grip screws separately.
G10 is extremely durable and virtually indestructible. It won't absorb moisture, doesn't expand or contract with temperature changes, and resists impact from drops or heavy handling. It also stands up to gun cleaning solvents without degrading, which means your grips stay looking solid year after year.
