The 10.5 inch barrel is cold hammer forged with a QPQ nitride finish, machined cooling flutes, a 1:7 twist, and 1/2×28 threads wearing an A2 flash hider. It's thermally fit to a forged upper, and the 9.85 inch handguard carries a full Picatinny top rail with M-LOK slots at 3, 6, and 9 o'clock plus generous venting to shed heat off the piston system. Inside, the one-piece bolt carrier runs a 22.5 degree extended cam path in a thin dense chrome finish for smoother cycling and longer dwell time. VKTR didn't skimp on the parts you touch either: a 4.5 pound single-stage Hiperfire trigger, Radian Raptor charging handle, Radian Talon selector, and Magpul K2 grip, all wrapped in Cerakote Flat Dark Earth with an SB Tactical SBA3 adjustable brace out back.

Yes, and this is one of its biggest strengths. The staged gas bleed system self-regulates pressure, so it cycles reliably suppressed or unsuppressed with a wide range of factory ammo, no gas adjustment needed. Since it's a piston gun, gas blowback to your face is minimal even when running a can, which is a common complaint with short-barreled DI guns.
No, it ships without sights. The upper receiver and handguard have a continuous Picatinny top rail with T-marks, so you can mount a red dot, LPVO, prism sight, or backup irons however you like. Plan to budget for an optic before your first range trip.
The handguard is designed as part of the operating system on this platform, so it's meant to stay put. That said, it gives you M-LOK slots at the 3, 6, and 9 o'clock positions plus a full top rail, so there's plenty of room for lights, hand stops, and other accessories. The heavy venting also does a nice job managing heat off the piston system.
