Viridian teamed up with Walther to build the CTL Custom specifically for the PDP and WMP, and the fit shows it. Instead of a universal light that hangs off the rail and clashes with your slide, this one is shaped and finished to blend right in with the pistol's lines. You get 580 lumens of white light backed by a 17,000-candela beam that reaches out to roughly 261 meters, so you can flood a room up close or pick out something down a long hallway without straining.
The standout here is Viridian's INSTANT-ON technology. Paired with an INSTANT-ON compatible holster, the light fires up automatically the second you draw, so your beam is already on target before you finish presenting the gun. No fumbling for a switch under stress. When you want manual control, the paddles are fully ambidextrous, so lefties and righties both get the same easy reach without changing their grip.
This is a rechargeable light, and it ships with Viridian's SafeCharge power bank. The magnetic connector snaps on quick, and SafeCharge shuts off on its own once the internal battery is full, so you can leave it plugged in without cooking the cells. A full charge gets you up to 60 minutes of runtime, and the power bank means you can juice it back up in the truck, at camp, or anywhere you happen to be.
The body is machined 6061 aluminum with a hardcoat anodized finish, so it shrugs off corrosion and holds up to real handling. It carries an IPX6 water resistance rating and a 1-meter impact rating, which covers rain, sweat, and the occasional drop off the bench. For a PDP or WMP owner who wants a purpose-built light that looks like it belongs and works when it counts, the CTL Custom is a clean, no-nonsense choice backed by Viridian's limited lifetime warranty.
This one is purpose-built for the Walther PDP and WMP. Viridian shaped the housing and matched the finish so it blends in with those slides rather than looking like a bolt-on universal light. If you run a different pistol, look at the standard universal-fit CTL instead.
When you pair the light with an INSTANT-ON compatible holster, it activates automatically the moment you draw. The light exits the holster in the same mode it went in, so your beam is on target before you finish your presentation. You can also run it manually with the ambidextrous paddles anytime.
It uses an internal rechargeable battery and comes with Viridian's SafeCharge power bank that snaps on with a magnetic connector. SafeCharge automatically cuts off once the battery is full, so you can leave it plugged in without worrying about overcharging. A full charge gives you up to 60 minutes of runtime.
Yes. The body is machined 6061 aluminum with a hardcoat anodized finish, and it carries an IPX6 water resistance rating along with a 1-meter impact rating. That covers rain, sweat, and the occasional drop, and Viridian backs it with a limited lifetime warranty.
