The Viridian C5L Custom is the light-and-laser combo that started the whole compact category, now rebuilt specifically for the Springfield Hellcat and Hellcat Pro. It pairs a highly visible green laser with a 550-lumen LED tactical light, giving you a fast aiming reference and enough throw to identify what's in front of you day or night. Because it's cut to the Hellcat's proprietary rail, it snugs up to the frame with no overhang and keeps the balance of the gun feeling natural in the hand.
That green beam is the real draw here. Green sits in a part of the spectrum the human eye picks up quickly, so it reads bright and sharp even in daylight where a red dot tends to wash out. On the light side you get multiple brightness modes plus strobe, so you can run full output when you need reach or dial it back to stretch runtime around the house.
The standout is Viridian's patented INSTANT-ON. Paired with a compatible INSTANT-ON holster, the C5L fires up the moment you draw, no fumbling for a switch when your hands are busy and your heart rate isn't cooperating. Controls are fully ambidextrous, so lefties and righties both get easy access to activation and mode changes. There's also a built-in Holster Retention Feature that helps it lock securely into carry rigs.
Inside is a rechargeable lithium polymer battery that runs up to about 60 minutes on a charge, which is plenty for a defensive light that mostly lives in short bursts. Recharging happens through the SAFECharge magnetic system, a portable power bank that snaps on and tops you off at home or on the road. It plays nice with the rest of Viridian's rechargeable C Series lineup too, so one charging setup covers multiple accessories.
