The ModButton Lite SYNC is Unity Tactical's compact take on remote switching, built for folks running both a weapon light and a Crane-spec laser on the same rifle. This is the dual-lead version with 7-inch cables, so you get one lead for your SureFire, Arisaka, or Modlite Scout-style light body and a second MIL-STD Crane Laser plug that drops into standard ports from the usual laser makers. Everything is momentary-only, meaning the light and laser fire when you press and cut off the second you let go. That keeps you in full control and avoids the accidental constant-on that gives away your position.
Think of this as the smaller, lighter cousin to the original ModButton. It keeps the same high-power cable and switch guts that Unity built to handle the current draw of today's high-output lights, but trims the size and drops the integrated mount to save weight and real estate on your handguard. The switch body is injection-molded polymer and fully potted, so moisture, grit, and hard use in the field aren't going to work their way into the electronics. It's a design Unity engineered and patented, produced for the Modlite platform.
Since this SKU ships without an integrated mount, it comes ready for M1913 Picatinny with the rail grabbers, and if you're running a slim handguard, Unity's optional M-LOK adapter kit lets you drop it flush against the rail for a lower, snag-free profile. The 7-inch cable length gives you room to route things cleanly from a mid-length or longer handguard back to the switch. The SureFire-compatible lead also plays nice with SureFire UE and DS00 tailcaps, and the whole system is ready for Unity's LINK USB-C setup and GASCAP tailcap when you want to step into that ecosystem.
Bottom line, if you've got a light-and-laser build and want one tidy switch to run both, this is a proven, rugged way to do it.
It ships with the M1913 Picatinny rail grabbers and hardware, but there's no low-profile integrated mount built into the body. If you're running an M-LOK handguard and want the switch to sit flush, Unity sells a separate M-LOK adapter kit that swaps the rail grabbers for a direct-mount frame. That adapter is a simple tool swap and includes the screws and nuts you need.
The SureFire-compatible lead connects to SureFire, Arisaka, and Modlite Scout-style light bodies, as well as SureFire UE and DS00 tailcaps. The second lead is a MIL-STD Crane Laser plug that fits standard NATO Crane-spec laser ports from makers like L3, Steiner, and B.E. Meyers. It's built to handle the current draw of modern high-output lights.
This switch is momentary-only, so the light and laser activate while you're pressing and shut off the moment you release. If you need a constant-on option, running a SureFire DS00 tailcap alongside it is the common workaround. The momentary design keeps you in control and helps avoid an accidental constant beam.
The 7-inch leads give you more room to route the cables cleanly on mid-length and longer handguards, letting you place the switch exactly where your thumb wants it. Shorter 4.5-inch cables suit compact builds where the light sits closer to the switch. Pick the length based on the distance between your light body and where you plan to mount the button.
