The Unity Tactical FAST FTC 30mm Magnifier Mount solves a problem magnifier users have lived with for years. Instead of flipping your magnifier off to the side where it sticks out and catches on gear, the flip-to-center design swings it down and stows it below the optical sight plane, completely within the footprint of your receiver. When it's out of the way, it's truly out of the way, and it never blocks your red dot's sight picture. When you need magnification, a firm push brings it back to center thanks to the force-to-overcome mechanism, so it locks in place without wobble.
This mount places your magnifier's optical centerline at 2.26 inches above the rail, which matches Unity's taller FAST optic mounts. That raised height is built around a heads-up posture, so you bring the rifle up to your eyes rather than crunching your neck down to the gun. It's a real advantage when you're running electronic ear pro, comms headsets, night vision, or a gas mask, and it keeps your spine in a more neutral position under a helmet and plate carrier. If you're already running a 2.26" red dot mount, this pairs up perfectly so your dot and magnifier line up.
Unity machines this mount from 7075-T6 aluminum with a Type III hardcoat anodized finish in Flat Dark Earth, so it holds up to hard field use without adding much weight. It's designed around Aimpoint magnifiers like the 3XMag-1 and 3X-C, and it works with plenty of other 30mm-bodied magnifiers too. The mount clamps to any Picatinny rail and can be installed facing either direction, so lefties and righties both get a natural flip-to-center motion.
The FAST QD lever uses American Defense Manufacturing's Auto-Lock design, letting you pull the magnifier off and drop it back on without tools while holding tight under recoil. It's a clean, snag-free setup that feels like an upgrade the first time you use it.
It's built specifically around Aimpoint magnifiers like the 3XMag-1 and 3X-C, and it also accepts most other magnifiers with a 30mm body. If your magnifier uses a standard 30mm tube, it should drop right in. Double-check your magnifier's ring diameter before ordering to be sure it's a 30mm and not a 34mm.
A flip-to-side mount swings the magnifier out to the side of the rifle, where it hangs off the gun and can snag on gear or slings. The FAST FTC folds the magnifier down and back toward center, stowing it below your sight plane and inside the receiver's footprint. That keeps the profile clean and never blocks your red dot when the magnifier is stowed.
The 2.26 inch optical centerline is designed to line up with Unity's taller FAST optic mounts and other absolute co-witness or NV-height red dot setups. If your dot sits at a standard lower-third or absolute co-witness height, the magnifier will sit higher than your optic. For the cleanest sight picture, pair it with a red dot mounted at the same 2.26" centerline.
Yes, it ships standard with an American Defense Manufacturing QD Auto-Lock lever already installed. That lets you clamp it to a Picatinny rail and pull it back off without any tools, while still holding a solid lockup under recoil. You can also mount it facing either direction on the rail for left or right-handed use.
