The AXON SL is the smaller sibling in Unity Tactical's AXON switch lineup, built for anyone who wants dead-simple, one-button control of a Streamlight weapon light. It runs a single lead with a 4.5-inch cable, which is the sweet spot for shorter setups and compact rifles where you don't want extra slack flopping around. The whole thing is molded from high-impact polymer, so it shrugs off knocks, drops, and general field abuse without adding meaningful weight to your build.
The standout feature here is the 45-degree angled button face. Instead of forcing your thumb into an awkward reach, the angle lines up with the natural way your hand sits on the grip, so you can index the button under stress, in gloves, or in nasty weather without fumbling. The mechanical switch design gives you both momentary and constant-on operation, mimicking the familiar click tailcap feel you already know from a standard Streamlight setup.
It attaches directly to a MIL-STD M1913 Picatinny rail using the included hardware, giving you a rock-solid, low-profile control platform. The compact housing measures roughly 1.3 by 1.7 by 1.1 inches and tips the scale at under 1.5 ounces, so it tucks in tight without crowding your other accessories or throwing off your balance. If you're running an M-LOK handguard, Unity also offers a separate M-LOK mounting kit to adapt it.
This switch is cut for select Streamlight models, specifically the TLR RM 1, TLR RM 2, ProTac Rail Mount HL-X Pro, and ProTac 2.0 Rail Mount, along with the TLR-1 and TLR-2 when paired with a remote switch tailcap. Before you order, double-check that your light takes a remote switch tailcap, since that's the piece that lets everything talk to each other. Yes. The mechanical switch design lets your Streamlight fire in both momentary and constant-on modes, working just like the familiar click tailcap you're used to. That gives you a quick tap for a burst of light or a full click when you want it to stay on.
Out of the box it mounts directly to a MIL-STD M1913 Picatinny rail with the included hardware. If you're running M-LOK, Unity Tactical makes a separate M-LOK mounting kit that adapts the switch to that platform. You'll want to grab that kit alongside the switch if your rail is M-LOK.
