The Unity Tactical AXON SL is the smaller, single-button member of the AXON switch family, and this version is set up specifically for Crane-spec lasers like the PEQ-15, DBAL, MAWL, and similar units. It hardmounts directly to an M1913 Picatinny rail, so there's no tape, no zip ties, and no drift once it's locked down. The 7" cable length gives you enough reach to route cleanly from a rear-mounted laser up to a comfortable thumb position without a bunch of slack flopping around.
The standout feature here is the 45-degree angled button face. That angle isn't for looks. It puts the button at an ergonomically correct activation point so you can index it fast and confidently, whether you're wearing gloves, running PPE, or working in cold and low-light conditions where you can't look down to find your controls. It's a single, clean button with a positive feel, which keeps things simple when your attention needs to be downrange.
Molded from high-impact polymer, the AXON SL holds up to real field abuse without adding meaningful weight to your setup. It tips the scales at right around 1.5 ounces and keeps a low profile, so it won't crowd your other rail-mounted accessories or catch on gear. As a laser variant, it uses a momentary-only switch, which is intentional. That lets you take advantage of the native double-click-for-constant-on feature built into most common lasers instead of fighting against it.
Since this is the Crane-plug configuration, plan to pair it with a laser that uses that standard port. If you're eventually looking to run M-LOK instead of Picatinny, Unity offers an optional AXON SL M-LOK mounting kit sold separately. Out of the box, though, this FDE unit is ready to clamp onto any standard 1913 rail and get you running.
This variant uses the Crane-spec plug, which is compatible with common lasers like the PEQ-15, Steiner DBAL, B.E. Meyers MAWL, and Wilcox RAIDx. If your laser uses a standard Crane port, this switch will plug right in. It's a momentary-only switch so it works alongside the double-click-for-constant-on feature already built into most of those units.
Out of the box, the AXON SL hardmounts directly to an M1913 Picatinny rail. If you want to run it on an M-LOK handguard, Unity Tactical sells an optional AXON SL M-LOK mounting kit separately. The direct Picatinny clamp is solid and won't shift once it's torqued down.
The AXON SL is the smaller, single-button switch in the family, built to control one device. The full-size AXON is a dual-button unit designed to run both a light and a laser from a single housing. If you only need to fire a laser, the SL keeps things compact and low-profile.
The 7" length is Unity's standard cable and covers most typical rifle setups nicely. Some users running lasers pushed far to the rear on longer handguards prefer extra reach, so measure your intended routing before ordering. For a laser mounted in a common position with a forward switch placement, 7 inches gives clean routing without excess slack.
