The True Precision S-Type Micro Compensator is a small muzzle device that does real work. It threads onto any 9mm or .380 barrel cut for 1/2×28 and uses three slotted 90-degree ports plus a tapered front crown to push gas away from the muzzle, which knocks down felt recoil and keeps the front sight settled between shots. At right around .787 inches long, it stays out of the way and keeps your setup compact while still giving you that flatter-shooting feel most folks are chasing when they add a comp.
This one is built for people who want faster, more controlled follow-up shots without bolting a full-size brake onto a carry or range pistol. The S-Type profile has its own distinct port layout compared to the Y-Type, so the look is a little different, but the goal is the same: redirect gas up and out to counter muzzle rise. It was designed specifically to pair with True Precision threaded barrels, though it plays nicely with most aftermarket 9mm and .380 barrels running the standard 1/2×28 thread pitch.
The comp is machined in the USA from stainless steel bar stock and wears a black DLC finish, which is one of the tougher, more scratch-resistant coatings out there and holds up well against carbon and cleaning solvents. The black DLC is a clean, low-key look that blends in with just about any slide or barrel finish.
Installation is about as simple as it gets. The tension lock O-ring lets you snug it up hand-tight and helps keep it from backing off under recoil, so you don't necessarily need thread locker to keep it put. Keep in mind that adding a comp can change how your pistol cycles, so a little tuning of your recoil spring or ammo choice may be worth it to get everything running smooth. It fits most 9mm and .380 ACP pistols with a 1/2×28 threaded barrel. It was designed specifically to pair with True Precision barrels but works with the majority of aftermarket barrels using that standard thread pitch. If your barrel isn't threaded, you'll need a threaded barrel before this comp will go on.

It can. Bolting a comp onto a pistol changes the gas dynamics and added weight at the muzzle, which may affect cycling. You might want to experiment with your recoil spring, ammo, or lubrication to get everything running reliably, and a short break-in with ball ammo is a good idea.
