Under the free-floating handguard sits a 16 inch Melonite-finished barrel chambered for .223 Rem, cut with a 1:7 twist that stabilizes a wide range of bullet weights, including the heavier stuff. The muzzle is threaded and wears an A2-style device, so swapping to your preferred muzzle option is straightforward. The handguard carries a full-length top rail and comes optic ready with no sights installed, which means you start with a clean slate for a red dot, LPVO, or backup irons. M-LOK slots are positioned so they stay clear of the pump stroke, leaving room for a light or bipod without getting in the way of your support hand.
The side-folding SAR stock is one of the best parts of this setup. Folded, the rifle shrinks down for easy storage in a truck, safe, or compact case, then snaps back out when it is time to work. Fit and finish reflect Troy's usual standards, with a forged 7075-T6 aluminum receiver, BattleAx control grip, Mil-Spec style trigger, and a manual safety lever right where your thumb expects it. At around 6 pounds bare, it carries well all day.
