There's something about a 20 gauge over under that just feels right in the hands, and the Trinity II Gold nails that feeling. This is the TALO edition of TriStar's Trinity II, dressed up with acid etched scrollwork and 24K gold inlay on the receiver, set against deeply checkered Turkish walnut. It looks like a gun that costs a whole lot more than it does, and that's been the story with the Trinity line since day one.
Underneath the good looks, the Trinity II Gold is a working field gun. The frame is solid with a sealed action that keeps dust and grit out of the internals, and self adjusting locking lugs help the gun stay tight through years of use. The 28 inch barrels are built on a steel mono block with chrome lined bores and chambers, so cleanup is quick and the gun shrugs off a steady diet of field loads. A vent rib with a fiber optic front sight gets your eye on target fast, and the 3 inch chambers give you room to step up to heavier loads when late season roosters or a turkey setup call for it.
The single selective trigger and top tang mounted barrel selector and safety keep the controls simple and familiar. Extractors lift your hulls for easy removal, which a lot of folks prefer since spent shells stay in your pocket instead of the grass. TriStar includes five flush fit choke tubes in the popular Beretta and Benelli Mobil pattern, covering everything from Skeet out to Full, so one gun handles the skeet field on Saturday and the grouse woods on Monday. A rubber recoil pad takes the edge off, though a 20 gauge stack barrel is already pleasant to shoot.

It comes with five flush mounted tubes in Skeet, Improved Cylinder, Modified, Improved Modified, and Full, stored in a hard case with a wrench. The threads follow the Beretta/Benelli Mobil pattern, which is one of the most common choke systems out there, so aftermarket options are easy to find.
This model uses extractors, which lift the spent hulls out of the chambers so you can pluck them by hand. Plenty of hunters prefer extractors since your empties end up in your vest pocket instead of scattered across the field, and it's one less mechanism to fuss with.
Yes, both barrels are chambered for 3 inch shells, so you can run everything from light 2 3/4 inch target loads up to heavier magnum hunting loads. The chrome lined chambers and bores also make cleanup easier after a long day of shooting.
The Gold version is a TALO distributor exclusive that features the dressed up receiver treatment with acid etched engraving and 24K gold inlay accents.
