The TriStar KR22 is one of those rimfires that makes a lot of sense the moment you pick it up. TriStar made a smart call here: the KR22 accepts standard 10/22-pattern rotary magazines. That means spare mags, higher capacity options, and replacements are about as easy to find as any in the rimfire world. Two 10-round rotary magazines come in the box, so you are range-ready the day you bring it home. The semi-auto blowback action keeps things simple and dependable, which is exactly what you want in a rifle that is going to eat bulk-pack ammo by the brick.
Out of the box you get an adjustable fiber optic front sight paired with an adjustable rear, which is plenty for plinking and small game inside typical .22 distances. When you are ready to add glass, the full-length Picatinny rail on top of the receiver takes a red dot or scope with no extra hardware. The black synthetic stock features an adjustable comb, so you can raise your cheek weld to line up behind an optic instead of craning your neck.
