This Trijicon set fixes that with taller iron sights that get your front post up and out of the way, giving you a clean three-dot picture whether the can is on or off. It fits the popular lineup of Glock standard frames, covering the 17, 17L, 19, 22, 23, 24, 25, 26, 27, 28, 31, 32, 33, 34, 35, 37, 38, and 39.
The illumination is where the Bright & Tough name earns its keep. Self-luminous tritium lamps glow on their own with no batteries, no switches, and no charging. The front sight carries a green lamp ringed by a crisp white outline so your eye snaps to it fast, and Trijicon backs the green lamps with a 12-year warranty from the date of manufacture. Trijicon went with green up front on purpose since it holds up better against muzzle flash and is the easiest color for the human eye to catch across a range of lighting.
These aren't fragile. Each tritium lamp rides in a metal cylinder cushioned on silicone rubber to soak up shock and heavy recoil, and every lamp is capped with a sapphire jewel that spreads the glow evenly while shielding it from solvents and punctures. It's the kind of construction that shrugs off years of carry, cleaning, and range time.
The elevated profile does double duty. Beyond clearing a suppressor, that extra height lets the sights co-witness through most slide-mounted optics like an RMR or Holosun, so if your dot ever goes dark you've got an immediate backup you can trust. The rear sight is kept subtle so it won't fight with your red dot window. Because these press in tight and need proper fitment, plan on having them installed with a sight pusher or by a gunsmith.
Yes. The suppressor height on this set is tall enough to co-witness through most slide-mounted optics like the Trijicon RMR or Holosun. That gives you a reliable backup sight picture if your dot's battery dies or the lens gets fogged or obscured.
No batteries and no switches. The tritium lamps are self-luminous and glow continuously on their own, so they're always ready in the dark. Trijicon warrants the green lamps for 12 years from the date of manufacture.
This set is cut for Glock standard frames and fits the 17, 17L, 19, 22, 23, 24, 25, 26, 27, 28, 31, 32, 33, 34, 35, 37, 38, and 39. It does not fit the slimline models like the 43X or 48, which use a different dovetail.
It's doable if you have a proper sight pusher tool, but Trijicon recommends professional installation. The rear especially presses in tight, and a sight pusher or a quick trip to a gunsmith ensures they seat correctly without damaging the sight or your slide.
