The triangle stock has come a long way from its AK roots, and A3 Industries built this polymer version to bring that classic silhouette to modern platforms without the weight penalty. Instead of machined aluminum, the body is injection-molded from DuPont's 30% fiber-reinforced Zytel, a material that holds up like metal while trimming ounces off the back of your rifle. The polymer version tips the scales around 10 ounces bare, making it one of the lighter ways to get that iconic look on a build.
This isn't the flimsy plastic you might expect from an injection-molded part. The Zytel construction is rigid enough to shoulder hard and take abuse in the field, and it does it at a lower weight than the aluminum model. You still get two quick-disconnect QD sling sockets up front, and the steel QD cup can be swapped from the left side to the right depending on how you carry. The overall length runs about 9 inches from the buttplate to the hinge mounting face, stretching to roughly 9.5 inches once the buttpad is installed.
The heart of this setup is the heavy-duty steel tensioned hinge, which latches positively in both the open and folded positions. That means it stays put when you shoulder it and deploys fast when you flip it back out. The hinge can be configured to fold either left or right, so you can set it up around your charging handle or optic clearance. It mounts to any firearm with a rear M1913 Picatinny rail, which is what makes the triangle stock so versatile across AK pistols, AR platforms, and other builds that already have a rear rail.
This particular model ships with the injection-molded rubber cheek rest and buttpad already included, so you get a softer shoulder contact and a raised cheek weld right out of the box. The rubber grabs your shoulder and helps keep the gun planted, which pays off during longer strings of fire or when you're moving between positions.
It mounts to any firearm that already has a rear M1913 Picatinny rail, which covers a wide range of AK pistols, AR platforms, and other modern builds. If your firearm doesn't have a rear rail, you'll need a Picatinny adapter for your specific platform first. Note that it does not clear the charging handle on the ACE Galil or UZI PRO.
