The Traditions Firestick Cleaning Kit gathers up the tools you'll reach for after a range session or a day in the deer woods with your NitroFire. Because the Firestick system swaps the traditional screw-in breech plug for an encapsulated powder charge, the barrel and chamber on these rifles have their own quirks, and this kit is put together to handle them. You get a bronze breech brush for the tough scrubbing, a nylon breech brush for loosening powder residue without being aggressive, a Nitrofire bullet unloading jag, a pre-lubed gun cloth, dry patches, and Firestick cleaning and seasoning patches so you can protect the bore when you're done.
This is a .50 caliber kit made specifically for Firestick-compatible firearms like the NitroFire VAPR. The tapered brushes are shaped to reach into the wider chamber area that sits ahead of where the Firestick seats, which is a spot a standard straight bore brush tends to skip over. If you shoot a conventional screw-in breech plug muzzleloader, this isn't the kit for that rifle, but for a NitroFire owner it hits the essentials in one box.
The cleaning process on a NitroFire follows the same logic as any inline muzzleloader: run solvent-soaked patches to break up fouling, work the brushes back and forth, then finish with a seasoning patch to lay down a protective film in the bore. That last step is what fights rust between outings and keeps loading smooth when you head back out. Copper-jacketed bullets and plastic sabots leave their own residue behind, so having the right brushes on hand makes the job faster and more thorough.
Along with the brushes and jag, you'll get a generous supply of patches, 50 dry patches and 100 Firestick pre-saturated cleaning patches, plus the pre-lubed cloth for wiping down metal surfaces.
