Description

A tourniquet buried in the bottom of your med kit does you no good when the clock is ticking. The Blue Force Gear Tourniquet NOW! Strap fixes that by putting your TQ right out in the open, held snug and ready on the outside of your gear. It's about as simple as life-saving equipment gets: a molded polymer backer and two heavy-duty elastic loops that grip your tourniquet and keep it from going anywhere until you need it. In Wolf Gray, it blends into most gray and neutral setups without drawing attention.

How the Tourniquet NOW! Strap Mounts Up

The hard backer slides in behind three rows of vertical MOLLE, letting the elastic loops sit out front where they can flex around your tourniquet. Because of that setup, it lives happily on plate carriers, war belts, and chest rigs. It also plays well with other Blue Force Gear pieces, mounting on top of the Trauma Kit NOW! MEDIUM or on either side of the Admin Pouch if you're building out a full medical section on your kit. Install takes seconds and no tools.

What Fits in the TQ NOW! Strap

The elastic loops are sized for NATO-style tourniquets, so a C-A-T or SOF-T drops right in and stays put. Smaller tourniquets work too, and plenty of folks use the loops for other gear like flex cuffs when a TQ isn't riding there. Worth noting: a brand new strap grips tight, sometimes really tight, which is exactly what you want for retention. It tends to break in and loosen slightly with use, so give it a few practice pulls to get a feel for your draw.

Like everything Blue Force Gear builds, the Tourniquet NOW! Strap is made in the USA and backed by a limited lifetime warranty. Keep in mind this is the holder only, so you'll want to grab your tourniquet of choice separately if you don't already have one.

Frequently Asked Questions

Does the Tourniquet NOW! Strap come with a tourniquet?

No, this is the holder only. You'll need to supply your own tourniquet, and it's built to fit NATO-style options like the C-A-T and SOF-T. Grab the TQ you prefer and it drops right into the elastic loops.

What do I need to mount the TQ NOW! Strap?

You need three vertical rows of MOLLE for the hard backer to slide behind. That covers most plate carriers, war belts, and chest rigs. Installation takes just a few seconds and requires no tools.

Will it hold my tourniquet tight enough for real use?

Yes, retention is one of its strong points. A new strap grips firmly, which keeps your TQ locked in place during movement. It tends to break in and ease up a little over time, so run a few practice draws to dial in your access.

Can the Tourniquet NOW! Strap carry anything besides a tourniquet?

It can. The elastic loops handle smaller tourniquets as well as other slim gear like flex cuffs. That makes it a handy, flexible add-on to a plate carrier or duty belt even when you rotate what's riding there.
