By moving the action behind the trigger, the Tokarev TBP-12 SP fits a full 18.5 inch barrel into a package measuring about 30.25 inches overall, roughly ten inches shorter than a conventional semi-auto with the same barrel. That makes a real difference when you're moving through tight spaces, stashing it behind the truck seat, or just working a shorter gun around the range. And this one wears a splatter camo finish over synthetic furniture, so it looks as distinctive as it handles.
Under the hood is a gas regulated piston system cycling 12 gauge shells through a 3 inch chamber, feeding from detachable T-1919 pattern box magazines. One 5-round mag comes in the box, and since the T-1919 pattern is common across MKA-style shotguns, aftermarket options in higher capacities are easy to track down. A rubber recoil pad takes some of the sting out of stouter loads, and at 7.25 pounds unloaded, the gun has enough heft to stay controllable through fast follow-up shots.
The full-length Picatinny rail up top is ready for a red dot the moment you get home, and polymer flip-up front and rear sights are included so you can shoot it right out of the box. Additional rail space gives you room for a light or laser. Tokarev also throws in three Benelli Mobil pattern choke tubes, Cylinder, Modified, and Full, plus a wrench, so you can open the pattern up for close work or tighten it down for longer shots. A sling comes included too.

Keep in mind the bullpup layout puts the mag well close to the buttstock, so drum magazines generally won't fit.

This model includes three tubes: Cylinder, Modified, and Full, using the common Benelli Mobil thread pattern. A choke wrench is included for swaps. That gives you a wide open pattern for defensive distances and tighter constrictions for reaching out, and aftermarket Mobil pattern tubes are easy to find if you want more options.
The gas regulated piston system bleeds off some of the punch before it reaches your shoulder, and the rubber recoil pad plus 7.25 pound weight help tame the rest. Most people find it very manageable with standard 2.75 inch loads. It handles 3 inch magnum shells too, though as with any semi-auto shotgun, quality full-power ammo tends to cycle most reliably.
